mission

Your mission is to study the beach scene and identify the potentially life threatening incidents, and make sure everyone enjoys their day on the beach.

aim

The aim of this game is to identify 12 incidents on the beach, or in the sea, and correctly answer each question. There will be one question for each incident.

spotting incidents

Use the cursor to scan the beach. If you need to scroll left or right, use the arrows on either side of the screen. When you think you have spotted an incident, move your cursor to the spot and click your left mouse button. If you have spotted an incident, you will be asked a question by the head lifeguard via your two-way radio.

answering questions

To answer a question, click the box that you think is correct. You will be told if you are correct. You will then be shown a helpful hint, giving you further information about safety on the beach.

score

Your score will be displayed after each question. If you would like to see your score at any time, just click the 'My Score' tab above the beach scene.

binocular view

There are some incidents further away, which you might not be able to see properly with the naked eye. You have been provided with a pair of binoculars to spot such incidents. To use these, click the 'Binocular View' tab above the beach scene. When in Binocular view, you can use the same controls to spot the incidents and answer questions. To return to the main beach scene, click the 'Beach View' tab.

When you have answered all 12 questions you will be shown the Water Safety Code. Please make sure you read this before finishing the game. And remember FLAGS.

If you would like to start the game again at any time, click the 'Start Again' tab.
