Josiah’s Bay Surf Life Saving Club is part of Surf Life Saving BVI a non profit association dedicated in educating the local community on matters of beach and ocean safety.

Nippers is a volunteer initiative which has been designed with the sole intent of introducing children to the joys and dangers of life on the beach. This programme is designed for children between the ages of 8 and 14 years and will help children develop aquatic confidence and knowledge in a safe and controlled environment.

As well as having a fun filled Sunday afternoon at the beach, children will learn the following skills and knowledge:

Josiah’s Bay Surf Life Saving Club (JBSLSC) will be facilitated by the BVI Lifeguards. There will be at least two Lifeguards present at each Sunday session to provide water safety and teach essential skills. Below is a list of all the BVI Lifeguards and where they are from:

Members of the JBSLSC will meet every Sunday Afternoon from 2 to 6pm. The cost to join the Surf Club is $10 per year. This $10 will be used to cover administration and general running costs.

Parents are welcome to stay and join in the fun every Sunday afternoon. This club relies on the help of volunteers, so the more people that want to get involved the better. Parents might even learn some water safety skills themselves.

If you have any questions or are interested in joining the club please email us on Info@surflifesavingbvi.org
